Cooking courses
CUINA DE TOSSA: We hold a cooking course one afternoon a week. Two chefs from Tossa show how to prepare traditional dishes with specialities from Tossa and Catalan cuisine: "cim i tomba", "calamars farcits i mandonguilles", "arròs de cabra", "arròs de paraigüero", "sípia amb pèsols", "mar i muntanya", "arròs negre", "fideus a la cassola", etc. Clients participate sharing both tables and food. Arròs de Tossa
INGREDIENTS .
2-3 tomatoes and peppers 1 kg. mussels water (200 dl for every 100 gr rice) oil and salt 1 large or 2 small onions 100 gr rice per person 2 prawns per person 1 large cuttlefish
PREPARATION :
Put the oil in a saucepan and slowly fry the prawns that have previously been cleaned. Remove the prawns and then fry the cuttlefish and add the finely chopped onion (leaving it to brown), tomatoe and peppers. When all is lightly fried, put the rice in water (2 glasses of water for each glass of rice), add salt to taste. After boiling for about 15 minutes, add the prawns and mussels which have already been cleaned. Leave everything to boil for about 5 minutes, bearing in mind that the rice should still have a little liquid.
